For more than 60 years Crane Plastics has been supporting the plastic profile extrusion requirements of original equipment manufacturers with cost effective, high quality custom profile extrusions. From our company’s founding, Crane has led the industry with innovations that include the first vinyl siding product made in the U.S., dual- and tri- extrusion, custom coloring and raw material formulations, part decoration and fabrication, metal embedment, wood composite extrusion and a host of other processing and tooling design advancements, allowing our customers to derive a high level of value for their extrusion dollar. 

 We serve our customers' supply chains with two extrusion manufacturing operations in Columbus, OH and Jacksboro, TN. encompassing over 230,000 sq. ft. of plant facilities, a combination of 42 twin and single screw extruders and in house design, construction and tool making capacity. Both plants are non-union shops and operate continuously on a 5-day schedule with the ability to flex up to a 7-day schedule, as demand requires. The Columbus operation is ISO 9001 registered.

Like other processing industries, Crane Plastics has advanced state of the art of plastic profile extrusion with acquisition of equipment and tooling design software to increase efficiency and improve quality.  Lean initiatives include cellular manufacturing, 5S and TPM practices. Supporting these advancements is a 200 strong employee group with an average tenure of 15 years, providing a wealth of experience, knowledge and synergy with the ever-increasing demands for quality and value required in the market place.
