Thanks to
continual development of innovative tooling technologies, Crane Plastics
has been able to participate in a variety of emerging markets. We were
one of the first companies to produce the first vinyl siding dies in
the industry. Highly complex metal reinforced vinyl sheet piling, wood
composite decking and railing, and cellular decking are a few of the
many custom profile extrusions that were R&D projects for our
tooling department that would, in years to come, develop into their own
markets.
The tooling department at Crane Plastics
is not only well equipped, but it is state of the art. Its three CNC
stations include a 2011 Mazak Vertical Machining Center. Supplementing
these are five wire EDMS. All new tools are designed on state 3-dimensonal design program, and put through their paces with advanced
Flow Simulation Software.
Each
tooling package is designed and built internally, custom engineered to
meet our customer's unique part requirements. Our in-house design and
development specialists work hand in hand with our tooling department,
from designing initial concepts to producing samples. Our customers
have seen the value we provide with our tooling department, who with
their constant drive to introduce the latest technologies, are often the
team that is inventing the future of plastic extrusion.
